For this glorious August wedding, the weather was perfect- with clear blue skies and hot sun. This UK couple had fallen in love with Son Marroig and wanted to bring together friends and family to celebrate with them at this iconic spot. They wanted to create an elegant ambiance of white and gold with touches of exotic orchids, anthuriums, hydrangeas and glittering crystal.
The 80 guests were welcomed to the venue with refreshing glasses of cava sangria and citrus-flavoured water. Then they moved on through the lush and shady garden to the beautiful white temple which had been decorated with a large ball or white hydrangeas. At the bottom of the steps, two white pillars were topped with white urns filled with white hydrangeas, white roses, anthuriums and grey-blue eucalyptus leaves.
A cream carpet gave a touch of luxury and elegance to the ceremony area and gold goblets lined the aisle, filled with small arrangements of roses, hydrangeas and orchids.
The bride and bridesmaids arrived in a white Lincoln stretch limo. The bride's bouquet of beautiful large white hydrangeas had a fall of white orchids.
After the ceremony, the guests celebrated with cava and canapes in the gardens before moving down to the dinner terrace. The seats were gold chiavari chairs and the tables were decorated with large gold flower towers filled with flower balls of pure white lilies, hydrangeas and roses. Around these, elegant tall glass candle holders in three sizes were arranged in groups of three and surrounded by small gold votive candles.
As the guests began their wedding dinner against the backdrop of a stunning setting sun, strings of glittering fairy lights began to gently illuminate the terrace and chandeliers on stands created an elegant focal point.
After the dinner, the guests enjoyed a Flamenco dance performance. Then came the couple's first dance and the cutting of the wedding cake, decorated with fresh white lilies. As the warm night drew on, the live band began their set and the action moved to the nightclub area for partying into the night.
