This elegant August wedding took place in a majestic hotel setting with terraces overlooking the sea for the ceremony, canape reception and dinner. The 60 guests arrived through the cool marble porticos and made their way to one of the larger terraces with wonderful sea views for the ceremony.
The ceremony took place in late afternoon, with the sun warming the elegant terraces. Then the guests made their way to a lower terrace for photographs and cava. The dinner tables were on a third terrace and the guests took their seats as the cooler breezes of the evening began to gently cool the bay.
The gourmet menu was cold melon soup, followed by vegetable salad with grilled goat's cheese and walnut vinaigrette. Then there was monkfish with a crust of fresh herbs accompanied by a spinach and saffron sauce. This was followed by rack of lamb with crispy potatoes and a slow-roasted garlic and basil sauce. Dessert was panacotta with vanilla ice-cream and a raspberry coulis.
After dinner, the party got underway with a DJ and dancing till late.
